    I arrived in Korea in 2013 and joined Konkuk University as a Brain Pool Postdoctoral Researcher. I later served as an Assistant Professor from 2016 to 2020 and have been working as an Associate Professor since 2020 at Konkuk University.

  ■ Overview of expertise My research focuses on industrial microbiology, particularly the valorization of biowastes into high-value biomaterials, biochemicals, and bioenergy. I have developed various microbe-based processes for producing biopolymers such as polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) and exopolysaccharides (EPS). Additionally, my work explores biochar applications in pollutant removal and its role as a catalyst for biodiesel and energy production.
