We are pleased to inform you that the Korean-Australia Foundation and the Centre for Australian Studies are jointly holding a KAF-CAS Special Seminar on 13th October. The special seminar commemorates the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Australia.

 

This seminar is about Australia's hard choices in international relations, especially between the United States and China. We have invited Emeritus Professor Hugh White. He is Professor of Strategic Studies at ANU and has published several books on the issue. We will also discuss implications for Korea. We are looking forward to seeing you at the seminar. 한국-호주 수교 60주년을 기념하여 한호재단과 호주연구센터가 공동으로 KAF-CAS 특별 세미나를 개최합니다.

 

최근 중국과의 마찰, AUKUS, 핵추진잠수함 등을 둘러싸고 호주 문제는 우리나라 언론에서도 자주 보도되고 있습니다. 이번 세미나에서는 호주 국립대학의 안보전략 석좌 교수인 휴 화이트 교수가 "호주의 어려운 선택"이라는 주제로 발표를 합니다. 휴 화이트 교수는 호주의 안보전략 관련 최고의 전문가입니다. 이 세미나는 또한 한국에 주는 함의에 대해서 토론해 볼 수 있는 자리가 되리라 생각합니다.
